Los Angeles, Here We Come!

California tee shirts

I’ve got some big news I can finally share with you all…my family + I are moving to Los Angeles!

The hubby got a new job and we are headed to the west coast right after the new year. My heart is so sad to be leaving all my friends + family (I’ve lived on the east coast my whole life), but I’m also so excited for a new family adventure!

You may be asking yourself, what does this mean for Roseville Designs?

For most wedding vendors, moving across the country would mean starting from scratch. But the beauty of being a stationery vendor is that you can do your work from anywhere. (Did you know I had 3 California weddings in 2017?) So the truth is not much changes for my clients + vendors. These days most of my consultations are over the phone, and for my current lovely 2018 brides I’m still only an email or phone call away! I also believe in my heart that a new city (and one as cool as LA) will deepen my artistic abilities + passions, and allow me to provide even fresher wedding invitations + paper stories.

I am also keeping my studio here in CT. I want to serve both coasts in an intimate way, and though Connecticut may no longer be my current state, it is my home state and I love the amazing relationships I’ve cultivated with my fellow wedding vendors + venues. I plan to be home sporadically throughout the year if anyone is itchin’ for an in-person consultation!

Be sure to follow me on Instagram for updates + instastories of all my cool adventures (we are headed out there Sunday for a quick house-hunting trip).  I’ve also got some really beautiful save the dates in the works for spring + summer 2018 weddings that I’m looking forward to showing you.

I can’t wait to see what life will bring to my business and my family in the golden state!

Washington DC Industrial Chic Wedding

It’s a beautiful day and I’m thrilled to finally share Nancy + Colby’s Washington D.C. industrial chic wedding! Nancy is a childhood friend of mine, so it was such a joy to work on her custom wedding paper story, which included copper, greenery, and a slew of thoughtful details! Sadly I could not attend since I had Baby Layla about a week before their big day, so having my paper designs there in my place made it feel like I was still part of their wedding day.

We began with a simple photo save the date, adding watercolor greenery touches and a kraft envelope. I always tell my couples that the save the date is a great way to give guests “a peak behind the curtain” of your wedding. This way they get a sense of your wedding style, and it builds up excitement for the invitations and the wedding itself!

Their invitations had a copper herringbone envelope liner with a copper foil tag and copper twine. The peach and green tones of the invitation suite were a perfect complement to all the copper touches!

Next it was on to day-of paper, which included fun signage, table cards name after “The West Wing” episodes (man, I miss that show!), and simple 2-sided programs. It was really important to them that they create special details with their own hands, which included homemade eggnog at the reception and the cutest hand-painted duck escort cards. But my favorite detail was their “guest book alternative”; three sets of Q&A cards with specific questions about marriage and them as a couple. Traditional guest books often get missed at the reception, and if they are inscribed usually include a bunch of wedding platitudes. Instead Nancy + Colby included specific questions that made guests take a moment to put down something meaningful. I made sure to include my hand-written cards when I shipped them their order, because I loved the idea so much!

So scroll down for some pretty wedding eye candy courtesy of Michelle Lindsay Photography, and be sure to check out the full vendor reel at the bottom!

The 2018 Rosy Invitation Design Collection Launch

rosy collection 2018 invitation launch

The Rosy Collection 2018 is officially here!

I am so excited to share the new Rosy Collection, which includes 16 fresh + beautifully designed wedding invitation suites. For this year’s launch I wanted to trim down the options and provide a collection that was modern, fresh, and versatile. There are a handful of my best sellers that remain in the collection, but many are brand new designs I’ve been working on over the past several months.

I also wanted to create options so brides can truly understand what they can get out of The Rosy Collection design. I’ve laid out package options that work across the different budgets + needs of the modern bride. This includes The Rosy Plus package. With this, you select a design and I come up with plus-up options to make your suite fit perfectly into the vision for your wedding. Perhaps it’s a custom watercolor envelope liner to add that whimsical touch to a classic invitation, or a wax seal with silk ribbon tying the suite together. Whatever the detail is, this option allows brides to add that personalized touch to their design without starting from scratch on a custom paper story!

But no matter what package you choose, you still get all the “paper planner” benefits of being a Roseville client: timeline management, etiquette advice, and much more!

So go check out the new collection by clicking here, or scrolling down! The updated Rosy Collection Guide is also available with some details on services + packages.

And if you’re ready to talk about your wedding paper needs, shoot me a message here!
