Shortcode and Plugins and Scripts, Oh My!

The Roseville Designs Blog has moved! It’s gotten a bit fancier, too.It is now located at the very official rosevilledesigns.com. Come check out my new look here! This is the result of my venture into web design, and needless to say it’s a bit daunting. Thankfully I’ve found some great resources for advice and support, namely Tim at Everything Etsy. He and his wife run EverythingEtsy.com, along with Etsypreneur. I highly recommend both their websites to anyone looking to get into the Etsy biz! Clearly it is still a work in progress. However, I’m learning that if you wait for perfection in order to move forward you may never get your feet off the ground. Here’s a little preview of something I’m working on for the Etsy store. Though much of what I offer will be invitations and wedding-related print items, I will also be doing a series of music lyric art prints. I still consider this in the wedding arena, as it’s a great gift to give to your future wife or husband. It’s also a nice gift to yourself to spruce up the house.

Can anyone tell me what song this is from? Hint: the singer is a Fairfield County, Connecticut native!

  3. OMG! Your new blog is amazing Sandy! I totally want to use Everything Etsy! I love how you have twitter and pinterest links right on your page. So cool!! How did you get this rolling and how long did it take?

Hi Nellie! I moved my blog from a wordpress-hosted blog (what you have now) to a self-hosted wordpress one. You still get the resources and support of wordpress, but have more freedom to customize and have your own URL. I have my website hosted through HostGator, which is a great service. They have 24/7 customer service. Definitely reach out to Tim Layton at etsypreneur.com. He has been a fantastic resource!
