Maxwell House Winter Wedding Inspiration | Featured on every last detail

Well, friends, we are less than a week away from Christmas, and the frenetic energy of shopping, wrapping, giving, and party planning is palpable! But I can feel myself starting to slow down and sink into what the holiday season is really about: intimate, quality time with family + friends. So it seems the perfect time to share our Maxwell House Winter Wedding Styled Shoot, featured this week on Every Last Detail Blog.

Sarah from Kindred Weddings + Events specializes in intimate weddings, those that are about celebrating love and connecting with those closest to you. She translated her wedding style into a Christmas winter wedding shoot full of Scandinavian details that are elegant, seasonal, and not over the top. The Maxwell House in Pasadena was the perfect venue for her vision, with lots of wood + cozy corners. The palette was not the cliche red + green, but instead lots of whites, with different green tones.

For the paper story, we decided on a watercolor crest, but wanted something a bit more modern. I used a watercolor wash in the background of the crest, and paired it with a super-modern hand lettering style font. Watercolor crests can be used for any type of wedding, but the watercolor leaves was a perfect representation of all the wreaths, garlands + greenery in the shoot.
