Connecticut Pink + Navy Garden Wedding

Kelly + Tim’s Connecticut pink and navy garden wedding is one I’ve been so excited to share! They got married in Elizabeth Park in Hartford then had an elegant reception at The Pond House. Their custom wedding paper story started with The Paris wedding invitation design from The Rosy Collection, but with their own twist! The Paris is usually the invitation suite chosen by my couples with a simpler more traditional style (and is one of my most popular designs!), but by adding some pops of color and more modern fonts, it became this great mix of elegance + fun. (And proving the point I always say to my couples in consultations about the collection: two people can choose the same suite, but the end result can be starkly different. It will still feel like it was custom made just for you!) Their modern Connecticut wedding invitation suite truly reflected the style of their celebration, which is exactly what I strive to do for all my brides!For the day-of paper, Kelly really wanted to incorporate watercolor details, so we used soft pink watercolors for the signage, including the tented menus that were displayed at each table. This has become one of my new favorite (and cost-saving) day-of paper trends, as you only have to pay for 1 menu per table, and it creates another design element at the table beyond just the florals and linens. We also had watercolor and navy table signs, escort cards, and bar signs. The best part about sharing K + T’s wedding now is that they’ve recently added a baby girl to their family!
