Peonies
I think you’d be hard-pressed to find someone who doesn’t like a good peony. It’s the kind of thing you want to fill a room with and roll around in (second only to a room full of golden retriever puppies).
It’s an incredibly gorgeous flower that comes in a variety of colors, shapes + sizes. I hear our Connecticut brides talk about wanting to have them in their weddings all the time, and it’s not uncommon for a gal to choose her wedding day around peony season.
Since peony season is officially here (the ones in my garden have popped!), here’s some June wedding flower ideas for you!
This flower doesn’t come cheap, but the beauty of the peony is that a lush flower like it doesn’t need a host of other flowers to accompany it. One perfect peony in a bud vase or votive can make for a serious moment (check out The Wedding Loft of Connecticut blog for more bud vase inspiration)….
