Real Wedding: Jennifer + Barron @ Greenwich Home

Uncategorized

Jennifer + Barron’s Greenwich backyard nuptials remind me why I love being born + raised in Fairfield County, Connecticut. It’s a special part of New England that mixes prep with classic elegance, and this wedding coordinated + styled by the amazing Stella Day Events is the perfect example of that. This wedding also got a double feature, one from Style Me Pretty + another from Oh, So Beautiful Paper! The wedding took place at the bride’s parents’ home on a perfect September day. Look at this gorgeous couple. I had trouble narrowing down which photos to share, because Jennifer’s smile is infectious! You can feel how much they really love each other in these shots by the very talented Hudson River Photographer. I worked with J+B on their invitations + day-of paper, and loved their vision + energy. Everything started with a custom watercolor crest created by The Happy Menocal, and I was honored with the task of implementing it into their paper story. I must confess that my favorite detail was Pedro (their beautiful golden retriever that I often considered kidnapping when I’d drop off their orders). He is such an important part of their life + was even the ring bearer at their wedding! {Photo Credit: Roseville Designs} We started with a classic invitation, but gave it a fresh twist with gold foil stamping and double-thick ecru felt stock. We finished it off with a colored envelope liner (which you guys know I just can’t get enough of in my invitation suites!). Using your wedding monogram is a big no-no before you’re actually married, so The Happy Menocal created an engaged + married version of the crest. We implemented the latter into their programs and menus. Then it was on to the sprinkles of paper love. Jennifer was so generous with her guests, with pashminas in case of a cold evening, and flip-flops to ensure everyone danced the night away.We also had to keep guests from entering the tent too early. Decor like this deserved a big reveal (look at those string lights!). Pedro is a certified therapy dog + Jennifer takes him to visit elderly patients, so a donation was made in honor of all her guests. Here are some more gorgeous details. I love the ginger jars for the florals + all the thoughtful details Jennifer + Stella Day Events put into the big day! The other big thing J + B’s wedding reminded me was why I love my job, and what I really set out to do. When I am able to work with a bride from start to finish, I think I really hit my stride. I love invitations, but I really love paper stories. So their wedding seems like the perfect time to share my new mission statement: To create custom paper stories through fresh design + a highly personalized level of service.

Jennifer + Barron, thanks for letting me tell your paper story. Your wedding will be one I will cherish for a very long time!
