What’s Inspiring Me: Cakes

Lately it seems like I don’t start an inspiration board for a project without a cake image from Pinterest. What’s ironic is that my wedding cake was one of the elements that wasn’t on my priority list. It was delicious and beautiful, but certainly not something in which I used a lot of my creative energy (or budget). But cakes have become such an important piece of the puzzle for brides, and are often a decorative focal point at the reception. I’ve found great ideas for patterns, texture and color thanks to these confectionary gems. So today I am sharing a handful of ones that have peaked my interest.
