Jessica + Dan | Burgundy Fall Branford House Wedding

Weddings

Today I’m sharing Jessica + Dan’s romantic fall wedding at one of my favorite Connecticut wedding venues, The Branford House at UConn! Jess’s maiden name is “Joy”, abd it’s perfectly fitting to the kind of bride she was throughout designing her elegant wedding invitations and day-of stationery, she was easy-going and just happy to let me help her achieve her vision!

They were embracing all the beauty that New England offers in October, by using burgundy as the main color but adding lots of gold to give it that formal feel. We decided The Westchester wedding invitation from The Rosy Collection was the perfect fit for their classic autumn nuptials, and we carried through that simple + romantic monogram throughout their wedding paper story. We also embraced marble in their wedding design, using it as background in signage and getting actual marble slabs for escort cards!

The Westchester invitation suite may start simple, but with the rich burgundy wax seal + felt stock, we added texture and a bit of luxury! The menus and signage were kept classic to complement the amazing florals from Jakkelyn Iris. The reception space has so much character (further enhanced by the perfect candlelight mood lighting), that the paper goods were the icing on the already delicious cake. My favorite spot there is the mantle + fireplace paired with long tables, it really is breathtaking.

All and all, Jess + Dan’s wedding was one I won’t soon forget, and it was executed with a vendor team full of my favorites! Look through all the gorgeous photos from Athena Blude below, and check out the full vendor reel at the bottom.
