Ready for a modern black + white Cape Cod Wychmere Beach Club wedding with impeccable details? Well, buckle up for Katharine + Josh’s gorgeous modern wedding paper story! This wedding was close to my heart because Katharine is one of my dearest friends. When she got engaged I was so excited to dive right into her save the dates, and bring her modern Cape Cod beach wedding vibe to fruition! Katharine knew she wanted to have a Cape Cod wedding because she spent so many summers there with her family. However, she didn’t want the typical beach wedding, with blues and nautical vibes. Working in fashion (and having impeccable taste), she wanted to bring a modern twist to the Wychmere Beach Club, using a black + white palette (with hints of red), which was a great complement to the newly-renovated Beach Club’s classic Americana style. The wood beams + driftwood pieces paired with lush white flowers and black napkins; it all worked together beautifully! The day was densely fog, but it made for some amazing photos captured by Eileen Meny. Fortunately the rain held off and they were able to have their ceremony on the edge of the property overlooking the sound. Her paper story began with save the dates, keeping it clean yet bold with a focus on the numbers of the date. Like all Save the Dates, I like to give guests a sense of the celebration they will attend, but keep enough behind the curtain that the invitation itself is a really exciting piece to open! We knew we wanted to incorporate vellum to add a soft touch to her paper goods, so we created a vellum belly band to wrap around the suite. The invitation itself was printed on extra think stock with silver edge painting. A subtle yet special touch! The day-of paper had a lot of components. We had a menu card with black edging standing up at every table, table number cards in clear frames, and favors wrapped in vellum belly bands (just like on the invitation). But my favorite detail were the black escort cards adhered to the table with crisp white wax seals with their monogram.Scroll down for all the thoughtful details put into this gorgeous wedding, PLUS you get a picture of me showing off my awesome dance moves!
