Copper Wedding Inspiration

Copper Wedding Inspiration

This week I am sharing copper wedding inspiration, one of the hottest metallics right now! Copper weddings have been popping up quite a bit, and have been such a fresh of breath air in the color world. Brides are still crazy for metallic, but some are looking to do something a little more modern than the traditional gold or silver. Ever since I finished up the invitations for my last wedding of 2016 (which also happens to be with a bride who is a dear friend!), I’ve been feeling the urge to design with copper even more. Copper has a special way of translating to so many different types of weddings: rustic, modern, glamorous….it works on so many levels! My favorite is seeing it paired with greenery, whether that means adorned on a metallic cake or in vases for centerpieces. It’s a bold + exciting trend for 2017 + 2018 weddings!

Bright Boho Persian Wedding Shoot Featured on Wedding Chicks

If you know me then you know of my love for all things bright + bohemian, so getting to incorporate both into a styled wedding shoot made me a very happy girl. Seeing it featured on The Wedding Chicks Blog was the icing on the cake!

The main inspiration was Persian wedding traditions, while mixing in some playful boho details. I was fascinated by the intricate Persian textile patterns, which I incorporated into the envelope liner. I pulled shapes from the pattern for the rest of the suite + other paper details, like the menu cards and packets of lavender for guests to toss.

Roseville’s Got a New Look

I was recently listening to a TED Talk by Amy Cuddy where she said, “Tiny tweaks can lead to big changes.” What I took from this: it’s not always about reinventing yourself, but making alterations here + there to get you on the right path. So what I’m launching today is not a rebrand, it’s a refresh of Roseville Designs. It’s something I’ve been working on since I returned last year from Stationery Academy, and I’m very excited to finally share it!

Below is my inspiration board that guided me through all this. I keep it up in my studio as a way to remind me what Roseville is all about, and to keep myself aligned with the values of the business.

Free Thanksgiving Place Card Printables

Today I’ve got an easy (and free!) printable for your Thanksgiving table. The table setting is one of my favorite things to design when it’s our year to host, so I’ve made some fun tented place cards to complement any Turkey Day decor! These let guests jot down what they are thankful for, and it’s always a fun activity to go around the table + share with loved ones what you wrote. It’s set up as an 8.5×11″ sheet with marks for where to cut; super easy! Download the template here.

Peach + Aqua Wedding Color Inspiration

Today I’ve got another color inspiration post, and I’m highlighting my new favorite combo: peach + aqua! This became the palette for Finley’s nursery, so I’m a bit partial. What I really love is that the soft hue of peach is the perfect complement to the bright aqua. Though summer may be coming to an end, I can’t help but picture this gorgeous combo for a 2015 spring or summer wedding.

Keep scrolling down for all the color inspiration!
